Mobility Care offers a wide range of chairlifts for the elderly to meet all your accessibility needs inside and outside your home. Our stair climbing aids are comfortable, elegant, easy to use and make it easy to get on and off in total safety. The armrests and the seat are made according to the most modern guidelines dictated by ergonomics: the optimal padding of the chair, the correct inclination of the backrest ensure maximum comfort and ideal lumbar support. When not in use, these aids for the elderly can be enclosed upwards together with the footrest in order to reduce their encumbrance.

This stair climber for the elderly and disabled is not a standard product, but requires a detailed analysis by one of our agents who will come to your home free of charge to study with you the ideal solution based on the type of staircase, your tastes and your needs.

To overcome the architectural barriers of your home it will be sufficient to install one of the following electrical aids:

Once you have reached the desired surface, thanks to the manual or motorized rotation of the seat, you can easily get off and on again from the chair.

The stairlift moves along three types of guide:

  • straight guide : it is installed flush with the step and allows you to go up and down along a linear flight of stairs without variations in slope. The footprint is reduced to 15 cm in depth;
  • monotube guide : it is the most installed due to its simplicity and it integrates perfectly in the rooms from an aesthetic and functional point of view. It only takes three fixing points on a linear flight of stairs to install it. The overall dimensions of the guide are about 18-20 cm and allows climbs with variable slopes up to 70 °;
  • two-tube guide : this is the version that has a reduced footprint of about 12-16 cm, but needs to have more anchoring points. It is generally used for stairlifts installed outside homes or when greater stability is required due to requests for significant weight capacities.

The standard Mobility Care chairlifts have a maximum capacity of 120 kg which can be extended to 137 kg for the larger version. In some particular cases, where the capacity requests are higher, we have customized products that can support up to 230 kg.

Among the various models, we have a hybrid version which, in addition to the classic armchair, also has an easily foldable platform to reduce the bulk when not in use. This version can be useful in cases of progressive disabling diseases where walking is lacking and it is necessary to use a wheelchair to facilitate movement.

From the analysis of ISTAT data relating to December 2014, it emerges that Italy has become the second country after Germany for the aging process of the population with one of the highest life expectancies in the world. This figure is fueled by a drastic drop in births and a better modus vivendi than in past years, such as to guarantee greater longevity of people. However, the daily life of the elderly and the disabled must be supported by the correct aids that can help them to safely live their spaces inside and outside the home, overcoming all those architectural barriers that limit their autonomy of travel. Lately, a lot has been done from a legislative point of view to make public and new buildings accessible. In the case of homes, adjustments are more frequent, facilitated by recent tax concessions (Legislative Decree no.83 of 22 June 2012: Extended until 31.12.2017 with the 2017 Budget Law) and contributions on the purchase of stairlifts. platform, chair lifts and lifting platforms as long as legal regulations are respected.

As we age, the body begins to slow down at the metabolic level and consequently even simple movements tend to be slower and more tiring. Common gestures such as climbing stairs become heavy and more and more elderly people, due to their instability in walking, risk falling, causing fractures or even facing death. In these cases, the benefits deriving from the installation of chairlifts are manifold. With the installation of this system for overcoming architectural barriers in your home, the completely natural movements that you could easily make will no longer be a memory: you can move safely and regain possession of your life.

The equipment and safety devices in the chairlifts that Mobility Care sells are always in compliance with the legislation (DM 236/89 Design criteria and related technical specifications), so that you feel serene during your movements on and off the floors. Rechargeable batteries that guarantee movement even in the event of a momentary power failure for a total of up to 15 movements;
Safety belts to be fastened before starting the direction of travel;
Button with maintained running action;
Anti-crushing sensors and straps as per the machinery directive that allows you to block the stairlift in case it hits an obstacle or a person on the stairs.
two remote controls that allow calls to the floor of the chair, also useful if it is used by several people in the same room.
In addition to the sale of stairlifts for the elderly and disabled, Mobility Care installs a wide range of accessibility products such as stair lifts, home lifts and ramps. We also carry out bathroom renovations using aids that facilitate the daily life of people with disabilities.
